Acn Inc. company

ACN Inc is private company, founded in 1992, based in Concord, North Carolina, United States, that sell telecommunication services in MLM (multi level marketing).

It began in 1993 under the name of American Communications Network, later changed it to ACN. It is also present in Canada, Europe markets (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom), New Zealand and Australia.

ACN world headquarters is located in Concord, North Carolina, before 2008 it was in Farmington Hills, Michigan. ACN is a member of the Direct Selling Associations and an accredited member of the BBB.

ACN co-founders: Greg Provenzano (President), Robert Stevanovski (Chairman), Mike Cupisz (VP), Tony Cupisz (VP)
Charles Barker is CEO

ACN Canada

In Canada company headquarter is located in Montreal. The products are similar as in U.S.: digital phone service (Video Phone), wireless, local & long distance calling, Internet access (high speed at Ontario and Quebec - in the moment of writing this article), home security.

What is ACN? What does ACN stand for?

ACN is a shortcut for American Communications Network. The company was named American Communications Network first, but later the name was shortened to ACN Inc.

ACN and Donald Trump

Donald Trump, well known businessman, real estate investor, endorses ACN. ACN was featured on an episode of The Celebrity Apprentice on NBC.
"I've come to know Greg, Robert, Tony and Mike, the Co-Founders of ACN, very well. They have built a terrific company and their new ACN Video Phone is amazing. I simply can't imagine anyone using this video phone and not loving it. I can't wait to see how our Celebrity Apprentice Teams launch it to the world!"
stated Donald J. Trump. Donald Trump endorsed ACN in other ways too, have spoken at ACN International trainings, praised the founders, business model and video phone

Multi level marketing

The sales of services (VOIP, video phone, internet access etc.) is done in MLM model. It means that independent representatives sell services, and try to recruit new independent representatives, that would also sell services. The rep (upline) that recruited another (downline) may earn commissions based on the downline sales, and also HIS downline sales and so on.

This is why ACN reps want to build big structures of reps under them - to gain commissions of downline sales. This is how other MLMs, as Amway (quixtar/alticor), Herbalife, Mary Kay, Arbonne, Pampered chef, Melalaeuca, Monavie.

ACN reps are allowed to use words below for Trump's endorsement
Using Trump's image, footage, or other material without permission may lead to severe consequences including deactivation of rep position in company.

Quote: ACN is a great company. How do I know? Because we have done a lot of research. I can't tell you how many proposals I turn down every day. I look forward to working with ACN and all the Independent Representatives. Donald J. Trump Chairman & President, The Trump Organization

ACN representatives

People that sell ACN services and recruit another, are called Independent Representatives. They are independent (meaning that they decide what and how to do) but are bind by policies and procedures, ACN's Rules of Conduct. For example they cannot use slamming - acquiring customers without their consent. The rules also prohibit making false or misleading or deceptive representations of any kind.

Customer acquisition for independent reps

The company, ACN, offers reps trainings and instructions to help understand their products, business model, rules for customer acquisition et cetera. "Nothing is more important to a representative’s success than our training and support system." ans they say.

Policies and procedures to acquire new customers

First, slamming is forbidden. ACN has zero-tolerance policy against slamming. This includes terminating the Independent Representative’s position (right to get commissions etc). Forgery is also prohibited

ACN rep is not obliged to purchase services from ACN

Independent Representative is not allowed to directly contact any carrier/supplier/service provider(s)
It means that you cannot bypass ACN, and sell services directly.

Cold marketing is also not advised.

ACN business income

ACN reps earn money based on ACN compensation plan. It includes Customer Acquisition Bonuses (CABs), percentage of customer bills, and money from fees that new reps (registered under given rep) pay to register in ACN.

Beware, ACN business opportunity need close look into before joining. Especially look for all fees (for joining, monthly or yearly fees) and earning potential (what percentage of customer's phone bill will you get? 1% or 2%?)

ACN rewievs

Rewiev by Leo:
In my opinion ACN is a good business, and lately they put more stress to business and moral integrity, but it is very hard to earn money there. Why? Because there alre many different fees, that you have to pay, and income from phone services is low (1-2% or so) so having 50 customers you will earn next to nothing.
Be sure to check every fact presented to you by a person who wants to recruit you into ACN business - and do not take his/her word for anything. Read the small print. if he/she brags about high income - check the reality and ask clear precise questions, demand precise answers.

Is ACN a scam? You need to check it for yourself. If you would like to review acn please send me an e-mail or use form below. Perhaps there will be more ACN reviews in the future.

Cult

Some people find that the way ACN reps work, and how the business was presented to them reminds them cults. For example, the focus on having "Dreams" (Amway does that too), seeing everyone person knows as potential customer or rep, trying to find new reps as soon as possible, excitement, avoiding to disclose rates, attending paid 'events' for 'training', discouraging to come into contact with people which are skeptical (rotten apples...) acn green apples

I believe in the network marketing business model, and for the most part the products are very good.  To each his own on what you want to work with.  I'm with Talk Fusion right now, and my video products are good for any business, including most MLM businesses out there.  A beautiful template, and an product/opportunity video emailed direct to your prospects...couldn't be any better than that.  Plus Instant Pay...NOW that's nice. So you can build your passion business, and oops, make money over here doing it. Find out more at www.OpenToLook.net, and email me...dnappi@bellsouth.net.

Who wants to buy a video phone? Anyone?
Was there ever a demand for these products? Or was the “demand” a manipulation of ACN’s MLM scheme? ACN was the only significant buyer of the WorldGate phones.  The majority ownership of WorldGate, the manufacturer, was held by the founders of ACN. And ACN appeared to have a captive market that it could “make” – ACN’s multi-level marketing sales reps. When a consumer signed up with ACN as a sales rep, he/she was hustled into buying one or more of the phones. This is after paying about $500 to sign up. Why pay $500 and buy a phone almost no one would need? Perhaps because ACN promises that big incomes are available to those who buy in and recruit others! With the “great income” offer, ACN could induce thousands to buy the phone and recruit others who would similarly be induced to buy the device. These “sales” may not have been about demand or need for this video phone, but about need for the income that ACN promised along with the purchase. And the phone purchase was endorsed by the great financial guru, Donald Trump.
Now, however, it appears that even the “unlimited” income offer is not working. The obsolescence of this product in the face of cell phone and Skype technology may be greater than even Donald Trump’s endorsement.

Really folks? $499 is too much?

First off, I dare you to start a business yourself for 500 bucks. Seriously. I dare you to hire customer service reps that will service your customers for you, organize shipping for you, and handle invoices for you...for 500 bucks.

Oh, and thats only for your first year. Yearly after that its only $124 bucks. Seriously, if you're upset about the prospect of investing money so that you can make some money...then you'll be hard-pressed to find an alternative to the 9-5 you're peddling. If you're legitimately a serious traditional business owner, then you know you have no business complaining about $500 for all of your back office stuff.

This business takes work, but there's no hidden juju about it. It's up-front. Recruit X amount of reps and sell X amount of product, receive X amount of compensation and progress to X position.

I love folks that talk about "Pyramid scams". Here's a thought, EVERY BUSINESS IN CORPORATE AMERICA IS BUILT IN THE SHAPE OF A PYRAMID. It's called a hierarchy, folks. Let me put this in perspective to you:

Level 1: Chairman
Level 2: CEO
Level 3: Executives
Level 4: Managers
Level 5: Office Employees or Sales force (where most gripers are)

Here's the funny thing about the traditional business model you're so staunchly defending. In traditional corporate America, you can, nearly without exception, NEVER surpass your boss in income, productivity, or status.

In corporate America, people up the chain will ALWAYS make more money than you. Oh, and in order to advance upwards, someone has to be promoted/demoted/fired.

In an MLM company such as ACN, your position and income is in direct relation to the amount of WORK, PRODUCT, and VALUE TO YOUR TEAM you produce.

Here's why most people FAIL MISERABLY at ACN:

(ready for it?)

They have NO concept of VALUE. Most corporate peons want to check in at 9, check out at 5, and do what they're told. Then they gripe and moan because of budgetary cuts, layoffs, firings, whatever. Few of them ever do anything of note for their company...they almost NEVER attempt to provide additional value.

Instead, they do the bare minimum necessary to -not get fired- and expect to be promoted based on "seniority".

Forget about seniority, friends. Create some VALUE. ACN allows you to do that, and when you do you're rewarded handsomely.

If you want to perform like a mediocre asspant, no matter what industry, company or product employs  you.... you will simply be rewarded for as much value as you produce. Which is usually... not a whole hell of a lot.

Here's my .02: Start contributing to your teams/workforces/networks to create for them VALUE, without worrying about your bottom line. The only way to create influence, wealth and power in this world is to significantly impact as many people as you can.

ACN gives you a platform to do that. Do with it what you will.

I've done my research and I'm going for it.  Now with the electric companies having to deregulate wow. Its like any other company you get out of it what you invest.  So you human vampires that are to lazy to really get out and try why suck the life out of other peoples dreams. I know when cell phones came out people said it was a waist of time dont get involved.  Bet they wish they could go back and invest.  Its not a pyramid unless you get paid out of the sign up fees.  The $499.00 is the cost to invest in an oppertunity its up to you if you wont to listen and be coached.  I had a trucking company now when I was trying to get started I looked for investores ask people I knew, they said know way.  I did find one person that liked my ambishion and helped me out. After 5 years I got tired of the trucking business and sold my part to him for $250 k and 5% for the next 10 years.  By the way he invested $25,000. he now ownes the company and now has 25 trucks.  We started with 3 trucks.

Google, and read the reviews, folks. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY....

hi i just want to let people out there know that a real good company like acn who has an a rating with the better business bureau, that a company like this works 100 percent of the time if you follow the proven recipe for success that the company has in place. just like if you want delicious chocolate cake and don't follow the proven recipe you won't get delicious chocolate cake. you try to change the ingrediants and you don't get it. i made my money and then some back in the first 30 days. i am happy with the company but it is still work. if you dont do what your supposed to it won't work for you. and it is not a pyramid scheme. know what you are talking about before you discourage people that are willing to put in the effort.it is still a job and takes effort it is not a get rich scheme like a pyramid. and your job no matter what it is if you draw it up will look like a pyramid. acn is a great opportunity for motivated individuals, not lazy people. e-mail me if you have questions at baerjr@hotmail.com thank you.

Hello,
Just wanted to say I just joined ACN and I am excited to prove to myself that I can do it. Regardless of other opinions of people that are scared of change. I was a member of Amway in my earlier years and boy if I had done somethings differently I'd be sitting pretty but I really feel what I learned from Amway I can use to be successful in any business. Everyone has the right to dream and if you don't want to then I say NEXT!..... But stop sucking the life from us who want to LIVE!!!!

I am a new rep, less than 90 days and I have to say there is a system in place, that if you follow it, you WILL have major success. Actually, I invested the 499.00 to get started and in less than 30 days I made my initial investment back plus a 500.00 profit and I did it by simply following the system set in place by Mr. Prvenzano and I am doing great and my husband is as well. If you are not a person who is coachable, then NO you will not have success. You have to see yourself in a different lifestyle in order to have the drive to make this business work for you. some folks just dont have that zeal. My husband and I could not be more excited and happy to be in an organization that has excellent leadership, training sessions that not only help you in this business but also in everyday life. I have met people that are wonderful and been places I otherwise would not have gone. If you are a skeptic, be one, but dont CRAP on other peoples ambitions and goals for themselves. ACN has been great to us thus far and I hope you all are open to this great opportunity. Also, dont forget to check ACN out launcing our entire opportunity on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice in March 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  God Bless

Any information you can give me about ACN I would appreciate as I am thinking of joining and before I involve family and friends I want to know that you really can make money from this.  We all work full time so will be limited with time, how much time is really required to make a success of this and how much money per month/per year etc.,

Look forward to hearing from you asap.

I am in ACN, and in the beginning I sturggled in the business. I went and got trained... and it acually started working. I've been working it serious for about 2 years now and made over 5k per month last year... and its growing. I Love ACN!... Now that understand the psychology of what happens, I've found the most people that get in the any MLM biz and quit... they almost always look for any excuse to quit, but they never say "I'm a Quitter" which is generally the truth... they just write something negative on the Net to make them feel better.

Hello Mwasovsky I am also in ACN been in it for almost 2 months now. I love every bit of the company. The service they provide in helping you succeed. Not only the company but my team is very supportive in my success. They want me to succeed! They call me every so often and check on me to see how I am doing. They always ask the question "What can I do for you to help you?” It’s great!

I know that there are ups and downs but what doesn’t have them. I say if you don’t have any ups and downs then you’re not learning anything. You are not involved in a real company, not a successful one. It takes work and commitment to accomplish great things. For anyone that has questions about ACN I would also love to answer any of them for you. Email me at almathammon@gmail.com

You should be able to ask any questions and get the answers and if you can't that should send up a red flag.  As a courtesy, I have a side by side comparison of ACN and Lightyear Wireless if you contact me I would be happy to share it.  What I will provide since its already public a link to an unbiased report about Lightyear.  If you have any questions or want to know more please call me.  I may not know everything. But if I don't know the answer, I will find it for you.  Feel free to email me at ndlightyearwireless@yahoo.com.

ALSO to Zaida...
If you signed up and need to know more...probably got taken by a silver tounged devil I mentioned earlier. Talk to Tara there. She'll likely be that support I was talking about. I'd even advise dropping out and getting back in under her if that's possible. A smart rep will want you to succeed and do their best to be sure you do. If you do, they make more. Why wouldn't they want you raking in a fortune. I know I would.

TO ALL.... I'm not with ACN or any other MLM. Just know my stuff. Though I might join ACN... Just dig their vid phone over the rest.

Hope I helped someone today.

To Anon and to To Anon...
Okay. Saying people don't make money because they aren't working. I'm gonna play the jerk card on you. Some people work and just aren't good at it or simply get fish that won't bite no matter what. Some don't work and keep getting the good fish. Just happens. No big deal. Get off peoples balls Anon. And get off Anons balls To Anon. Play nice and you both get cookies.

To Ken...
More than 1% make money. It's about 3%. Actual fact. HUGE DIFFERENCE I know. It's not many that make the money and nor should it be all things considered. However there are alot of people that get suckered in by smooth talkers when they themselves are not one. Therefore, recipe for failure. And this comes from INDEPENDANT REPS. That means they can go about getting more reps or customers however they see fit. This is bad. Some, like I said are fast talking silver tounged devils. Some tell you the truth and that you may well fail but they will help you succeed. Why wouldn't they... they make more if you do well... duh. There's also everyone in between.

In closing.... it's legal. It's legit. It's really really real BUT if you get suckered in by a prick who just wants his hand in your pocket, you'll likely fail and hate him and the "company he's with". I view it as the company he just gave a bad name to when it should be soley his name that is mud. You CAN make money. Depends on who you're in with. Just be careful. And if it's not for you... well... don't do it. Seriously. Don't do it if you don't know for sure that you can. Don't do it if you don't have real support. If you know you can, and you have real support, do it. If you make alot of money then good for you. If not, you tried when others were afraid.

Also, I like tacos. Thank you and good night.

Hi Anon, what will you say about people that DO work as ACN "salesman", and yet don't break even? Or earn less than flipping burgers? They DO work, sometimes quite hard - and yest their income is not as goog as they would have at McDonalds :)

I love this intelligent article and its credibility. There are many genralizations and slang. There is a catch in ACN, its called "Work". Most people don't work, so they don't get paid; yet they want to complain about how they did not make it  ....so it must be a scam. I'm glad i'm still on it :)

Is ACN a scam? Not if you are one of the 1% who make a profit in a MLM business.

It is a fact that less than 1% make a profit in a MLM business. That means 99% fail. Just because Donald Trump gets paid a lot of money to endorse ACN doesn't make it a good business opportunity for most people. I think we all remember a certain Mr. Madoff who was regarded as an exceptional business man and certainly a man of integrity.

The only way to make a reasonable income is to recruit new representatives. You are not selling a product, but signing up new reps on a continuous basis. The products are overpriced and available from a host of other companies at lower rates. Videophones are OK, but only if the party at the other end has one also. They are also available from may distributors and have been for a decade.

The only one making money with ACN is the company itself and a handful of their senior executive - the 1%. A person will make more money on an hourly basis working at McDonalds, and that is a FACT.
